The successive crises that have occurred in the country have made the Syrian refugees in Lebanon facing great challenges, as it has become difficult for them to buy food and meet their needs, cover the cost of renting shelter, and basic services “such as electricity”.
The response of the United Nations agencies was limited to providing limited aid, not including all Syrians, and insufficient to secure food or winter resistance, compared to the high prices of food and services.
And also; The United Nations agencies ignore our demands that express our needs, without getting a serious response that contributes to alleviating the moral and financial burdens.
We are a group of Syrian youth, we appeal to you Excellency for solidarity with the Syrian Refugees, during your visit to Lebanon, and to work to lift them out of clutches of poverty and ignorance, through:
- Expanding the volume of humanitarian cash assistance in proportion to the current situation.
- Increasing the number of beneficiaries of humanitarian cash assistance.
- Treating the problems that lead Syrian children not enrolling in school.
- Providing opportunities to volunteer in social work with the UNHCR and its partner organizations, by establishing a clear mechanism for submitting volunteer applications in a fair and equal manner, without relying on recommendations from employees.
