Workflow and Standards

We strive to carry out all activities to form diverse perspectives and reflect them equally and comprehensively.

Adopted Workflow:

Topics

  • Forum members submit a proposed topic for discussion through a dedicated digital form for virtual membership.
  • The forum management team reviews the proposed topics for compliance with the core standards (below), forum objectives, and the agenda for that phase. The forum president then makes the appropriate decision.
  • If accepted, the topic is placed in the discussion phase.

Discussions

  • The topic is publicly posted for discussion, forming perspectives through private and public voice dialogues, virtual meetings among forum members, and considering opinions of non-members.
  • The forum management team works on drafting a project plan to be put to a vote.

Voting

  • The circulated project of the discussed topic enters a virtual voting stage within a specified time frame. Each member has one vote.
  • The final result is determined by the majority of participants in the virtual voting process.

Project Work

  • The forum management team discusses the stages each topic will go through, framed as a project for a specific or open-ended period.
  • The project could involve one or more of the following:
    • Issuing a statement and publishing it publicly.
    • Sending the statement to relevant individuals and institutions.
    • Running a digital campaign on social media for a specified time.
    • Launching an extensive email campaign where supporters of our humanitarian message can participate in sending emails to relevant individuals and institutions.
  • Other forms may also be considered.

Exceptions

  • The forum president can decide to initiate an emergency project for a specific event, not subject to the voting and/or discussion stages.
  • The forum president can decide on potential partnerships for the development and achievement of the forum's goals without going through the voting and/or discussion stages.
  • The forum president can terminate or suspend any project, in addition to modifying the agenda for that phase.

Core Standards for Approved Topics

  • Avoiding incitement, annoyance, discrimination, and racism.
